Marissa Letendre

Owner/ Blonde specialist/Deva Curl Certified/ Hand tied extensions/Master Colorist

Marissa is the mastermind behind Moss & Moon! She has trained for years under top stylists, has received certifications from Bond Academy, Goldwell, L’Oreal Professional’s, Matrix, CHI, and Redken over the 14 years she’s been behind the chair. She trains all her stylists one on one and loves education. She’s skilled in highlighting, full color, balayage, glazes and so much more. She provides each of her clients with custom coloring, designed specifically for them! It is Marissa's mission for herself and her team to provide 5 star service and an experience that can't be duplicated. " I believe communication is the key to guest satisfaction." Hannah

Senior Stylist/Lived In Color Specialist

Hannah is originally from Upstate NY. She graduated from Orlo cosmetology school with honors. She has been behind the chair for 7 years. Her passions are for lived in color, short textured haircuts/razor cuts, and mens grooming services. Hannah believes there is no "one size fits all" when it comes to your hair. She prides herself on providing a unique experience from consultation to styling. Her services are customized and cater to you.

Skylar

Stylist/Corrective color specialist

Skylar was born right here in South Carolina. She enjoys enriching oneself through continued education. She has taken classes from Paul Mitchell, Goldwell, Redken, and Framesi and is olaplex certified. She specializes in corrective coloring. Sky can pull a platinum card like nobody's business. She is knowledgeable with current fashion trends and color procedures. Skylar's chair is always warm, friendly, and lively.

Kat

Stylist/ Blowout Specialist

Meet Kat! Kat moved here from Indiana and has been behind the chair for three years. After graduating from college at USI, Kat made the decision to pursue a career in cosmetology. She attended the Aveda Fredric’s Institute in Indianapolis and graduated in 2021. Kat received hands-on training at some of the best salons in the greater Indianapolis/Carmel area. In addition to that training, Kat has attended numerous seminars and continuing education sessions from well-known artists and brands in the hair industry, such as Gina Sicarda, Jessie Gaines, Allison Moncheck, DR Granger, Drybar, and R+CO Color. She has a passion for making her clients feel comfortable in her chair and providing them with the best experience. Kat specializes in hair/scalp treatments, blowouts, styling, lived-in color, and she is certified in hand-tied extensions. Kat will be at Moss and Moon Thursdays through Saturdays to take appointments. When she’s not at the salon, you can find her jamming to music in her car, trying new food places in Cola, or taking her dog Opal on long walks!

Cayli

Customer Support/Front Desk

" When you step into Moss & Moon Cayli is the first friendly face you will meet." As our fabulous Customer care expert and receptionist, Cayli's goal is to make sure every client has a pleasant and efficient experience. She loves getting to know each client and having those personal interactions. She will also start attending cosmetology school come spring. She hopes to one day be a stylist at Moss & Moon. When she's not at the salon you can find her enjoying her time on stage at the local theatre.

Have gone to many salons in Columbia and had sub-par experiences, but knew immediately by the way that the staff at Moss and Moon engaged me and by their demonstrated knowledge that this experience was going to be different. Shannon has years of experience cutting and styling hair - she knew exactly the techniques and styles that would work with my hair type, which is very thin and straight. She’s done hair all across the country, unlike many of the stlyists I’ve seen in Columbia that are exposed to a very narrow set of clientele/hairstyles. The salon itself is also gorgeous - exposed brick with bohemian-esque decor. Good hairstylists are a dime a dozen, and I feel fortunate I’ve finally found one in Cola. I’m in love with my hair and will be back!

This place is amazing! I’ve had two hair cuts here since discovering them, and they both have been a wonderful experience! I only moved to Columbia in the past year and a half, so was hesitant to try new places.

I completely changed my hairstyle in my first visit with Marissa. She gave me an awesome undercut/side shave which I love! She cut it exactly as I had imagined it and made sure she was only cutting what I wanted cut.

The second time, I had a solid few inches of hair trimmed by Emmie, who also cut my hair exactly as I wanted and was very kind! I loved talking with her! Definitely get your hair cut here!

I absolutely love Moss and Moon. Hannah is a phenomenal artist with balayage! She completely transformed my hair, and I am absolutely OBSESSED! She not only is talented, but super welcoming and easy to talk to. The aesthetic of the salon is cute, clean, and fresh. I cannot wait to go back :)
